TAU National Conference

The TAU national conference took place on the 26^th July 2023 at the Elangeni Hotel in Durban.  It was attended by about 150 TAU 1 to 3 fellows, TAU 4 participants, staff, advisors and team members.

In total 72% of all current TAU fellows and participants attended.  The emphasis of the programme was on the impact of TAU on bringing about change in the SA higher education sector. Prof Andre Keet from NMU opened the event as keynote speaker followed by panel discussions of TAU fellows from CPUT and NMU.  Sixteen TAU fellows presented in two parallel session for the rest of the day and in the closing session participants were divided into regional groups to discuss how to continue to build the TAU network and support each other.

There was overwhelming support in the evaluation for the event to be repeated in future years. However, it was felt that one day was not enough time to do justice to the aim of the event.
